The Role: We’re looking for motivated, compassionate Employment Advisors to join a Restart programme team in Preston. This is a highly rewarding role where you’ll work closely with individuals facing multiple barriers to employment, supporting them to rebuild confidence, develop skills and move into sustainable work. You’ll take a hands‑on, person‑centred approach, building trusting relationships and providing practical, tailored support that helps people move forward at their own pace while keeping a clear focus on positive employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload, providing one-to-one, face‑to‑face support from our centre.
  • Complete thorough initial assessments to understand each individual's work history, skills, aspirations and challenges.
  • Co‑create personalised action plans, linking customers with appropriate training, employability support and local services.
  • Set and review SMART goals, tracking progress and adapting plans to maintain momentum towards employment.
  • Provide ongoing motivation, encouragement and practical guidance to build confidence, resilience and employability skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and work to performance measures while consistently delivering high‑quality support.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience supporting unemployed individuals or people facing complex barriers, or strong transferable skills from roles working with vulnerable groups (e.g., support work, housing, education, health or community services).
  • Confidence managing a varying caseload in a results‑focused environment, with an understanding of job outcomes. Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Ability to carry out holistic needs assessments and identify realistic, meaningful next steps.
  • Strong experience setting, reviewing and working towards SMART objectives.
  • A resilient, empathetic and driven approach, with a genuine passion for helping people change their lives through work.

If this sounds like the perfect role for you then please submit your CV.
