Support Worker Housing Assistance

The Role

• Providing one to one support to individuals experiencing housing instability or homelessness
• Supporting clients to access accommodation, benefits and community services
• Assisting with daily living skills such as budgeting, cooking and maintaining a tenancy
• Building positive relationships to encourage independence and long term stability
• Working alongside external agencies including social services and support providers
• Managing incidents calmly and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients
• Maintaining accurate records, support plans and risk assessments in line with compliance

• Previous experience working with vulnerable adults or within housing or homelessness services
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Confident supporting individuals with complex needs including mental health and substance misuse
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and de‑escalate situations effectively
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
• Flexible approach to shifts including days, evenings and weekends

• Weekly pay
• Temporary - permanent placement after 12 weeks
