Salary £36,364 - £38,945 Per Annum | Full Time, 37 Hours Per Week. Unqualified salary range £33,066 - £35,533;
Qualified salary range £36,364 - £38,945.

Location:

Preston & South Ribble, Lancashire. This role is not open to international sponsorship.

• Deliver youth work opportunities across Preston & South Ribble, including youth clubs, schools and community settings.
• Initiate and develop relationships with 11‑ to 25‑year‑olds who are vulnerable or at risk.
• Design, develop and run preventative programmes that demonstrate learning outcomes and meet service targets.
• Provide both group-based and one‑to‑one support, applying the four cornerstones of youth work: equality, participation, education and empowerment.
• Record data and produce reports using the management information system, meeting all required targets.
• Coordinate face‑to‑face work in line with JNC terms and conditions, including trips, activity days and residentials.
• Travel across the district and, when necessary, across the county – access to a vehicle is essential.

• Nationally recognised JNC qualification for Youth and Community Workers, or actively working towards it.
• Great organisational, communication and IT skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of young people and partners.
• Willingness to undertake further study to obtain the qualification while employed.
• Willingness to work a full‑time, 37‑hour week, including occasional weekends, evenings and bank holidays to support activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and the policy framework of Lancashire County Council.
