About The Role
Excellent opportunity as a Night Concierge to provide an overnight presence in our Preston Services, ensuring residents are well and the building is secure.
Preston Services is a supported accommodation service for 16‑to‑24‑year‑olds transitioning to independence, operating two sites:
Preston Foyer (16 bedrooms) and Merriweather (11 bedrooms).
- Help ensure safety of residents and security of the building by being an overnight on‑site presence.
- Manage safeguarding incidents and concerns.
- Supervise people as they enter and exit the building.
- Monitor CCTV and conduct building checks.
- Engage with vulnerable people who live in the service for up to 2 years.
- Encourage residents to follow house rules.
- Maintain and update service user casefiles.
You will communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, including clients, staff, agencies, and local neighbours.
- Empathy with our client group.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Good time management.
- Willingness to work night shift on a rota basis.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding.
- Experience of working with young people.
- £100 when you start work, plus £250 at 6 months’ service and another £250 at 12 months’ service.
- 26 days annual leave rising to 31 days.
