Locum Social Worker – Family Safeguarding Team – Children’s Services in Preston, earning £36 Hourly. Full Time/Part Time options available. Ongoing. Located at Ripon Street, Preston, this role is perfect for a social worker with deep expertise in child protection, court work, and supporting children in need.

All candidates must have at least three years’ experience in a permanent post within a local authority and not have held a permanent or fixed-term position with a Local Authority within the last 12 weeks.

  • Undertake complex assessments and investigations to protect children and ensure their welfare.
  • Manage a diverse caseload and develop effective plans to improve the outcomes for children and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and stakeholders to ensure the best possible services and solutions are provided.
  • Prepare and present quality reports for court proceedings and Child Protection Conferences.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.
