Substance Misuse Nurse
to join the
Criminal Justice service in Preston
. This
full-time locum role
offers an immediate start on an initial2-month contract
, with the possibility of extension.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals within the criminal justice system who are affected by drug and alcohol misuse, delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care within a structured weekday working pattern.

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care and support to individuals with substance misuse needs within the criminal justice setting.
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care and recovery plans.
  • Implement harm reduction strategies and provide education around safe substance use.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated treatment pathways.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical records in line with service and criminal justice requirements.
