We are delighted to be recruiting for a Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional team at Art of Dentistry in Prestwick. This role can be offered on either a part-time or full-time basis, with working hours open to discussion for the right candidate, offering flexibility to suit individual circumstances.

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Prestwick which is known for its relaxed seaside atmosphere, independent cafés and strong community feel, Art of Dentistry has established itself as one of Scotland’s leading private dental practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a dental nurse looking to work within a modern, high-end clinical environment, supporting advanced treatments and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Our practice is at the forefront of cutting‑edge cosmetic and restorative dentistry, offering services including teeth straightening, dental makeovers, veneers, facial rejuvenation and tooth whitening. You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day‑to‑day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.

Other duties include:

• Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
• Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
• Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
• Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
• Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
• Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges

• Interested in starting a career in the Dental Industry
• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills

• Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
