Due to our continued growth, PAML in association with our client airline Ryanair are recruiting for a Technical Training Instructor to join the Engineering Training department. We are looking for someone who is passionate about aviation, enjoys teaching a wide range of aircraft engineering topics to staff working in the field – from the start of their career to the top of their profession – and who will promote training and be an ambassador supporting the highest standards we maintain within the company.
Responsibilities- Delivery of all technical training to engineering staff to the highest industry standards, including but not limited to business‑needs training across all airlines within the PAML Group
- Delivery of Part 147 theoretical and practical training
- Delivery of specialised type‑specific training
- Preparation of technical training and improvement of our current courses
- Development of instructor materials (course outlines, lesson plans, background material, instructional materials and training aids)
- Ensure regular review of all procedures and regulations relevant to the training course being delivered, with particular focus on EASA regulations
- Develop and approve training material using various delivery methods (classroom, eLearning, virtual, etc.)
- Deliver technical training in a practical manner
- Maintain and develop the training centres for further learning enhancements across all levels of training
- Demonstrate a hands‑on attitude and strong organisational skills to build and deliver effective training programmes
- Clear written, oral and presentation communication skills
We also expect the successful candidate to be a great communicator, able to work with different nationalities, diversities and ages, and to bring new ideas to the training team. A fun, positive, and open‑minded attitude is essential.
Requirements- Must hold an EASA Part 66 Licence, an Aerospace Engineering degree, or have evidence of previous employment in aircraft technical training
- Must be able to meet the requirements for delivering Part 147 training
- Must have experience in aircraft engineering and physically working on the aeroplane
- Experience in reviewing regulatory compliance base procedures
- Attention to detail and ability to raise issues to the management team
- Ability to plan and work to deadlines set by management
- Good working knowledge of Office 365, and a willingness to learn new programmes or software tools to enhance work processes
- Ability to provide constructive critique where non‑compliance may be found
- Effective communication skills across all types of communication (verbal, face‑to‑face, virtual)
- Open‑minded, eager to learn new skills and bring new ideas to the team
- Strong work ethic and responsibility for own work, completed in a timely manner
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to change
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to seek and find solutions and address them to the management team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must hold a valid EU passport and be willing to travel when required by business
