Our globally renowned aerospace client is seeking an EHS Specialist, who will strengthen the existing Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) function in response to the continued growth of the clients activitiesinthe

UK.Theroleisprimarilybasedatthe

AICPrestwicksite,providing hands-onEHSsupport to management and employees to achieve and sustain high standards of safety, environmental performance,and regulatory compliance. Thepositionwill also support other regional sites as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-dayEHSguidanceandpracticalsupporttositeleadershipand employees. Ensurefullalignmentwiththeclientsenterprise

EHSrequirementswhilemaintaining compliance with UK and regional legislation. Prepareandmaintain

EHScompliancereports,permits,andregulatorysubmissions,actingas the primary EHS point of contact with regulatory bodies. Conductriskassessments,EHSinspections,audits,andincidentinvestigations,implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Supportnewbusinessactivitiesandfacilitiesprojectsbyassessingworkplacehazardsand advising on EHS compliance requirements. Deliver

EH Straining,inductions,andawarenessprogrammestomeetbothregulatoryand business needs. Review contractor,supplier,andvendoractivitiestoensureadherenceto

EHS standards. Supportemergencypreparednessplanning,environmental compliance,sustainability initiatives, and health surveillance programmes. Workcollaborativelywiththewiderregional

EHSteam,includingtraveltoothersiteswhen required. Prestwick

AIC Context:
The Prestwick AIC facility will operate as a fully integrated to the clients site following acquisition. The workforce includes office-based staff alongside operational and warehouse personnelengagedinactivitiessuchasmachining,R&D,laboratory work,goods handling,crane and forklift operations. While no immediate safety risks have been identified, there is a recognised compliance gap against UK legislation and the cleints EHS standards, requiring dedicated on-site EHS support for an initial 612 month period.

Key Improvement Focus  Areas:
Replacementofexistinggenericriskassessmentswithclient-compliant activity-andtask-specific assessments and Safe Working Instructions. Implementationofacomprehensivechemicalmanagementsystem,including

COSHH,REACH compliance, procurement controls, PPE programmes, and training. Reviewandenhancementofsafetyprogrammesformachining,lifting operations,and powered industrial trucks. Developmentofemergencypreparednessarrangements,EHStrainingplans,andhealth surveillance programmes. Qualification sand

Experience:

Minimum Level3qualificationin Health &Safetyor Environmental Management. Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillsin English. Experiencewithinanengineering,manufacturing,ormechanicalmaintenanceenvironmentis desirable. Thisroleplaysacriticalpartinensuringregulatorycompliance,embedding the clients
