From our Prestwick site, we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. • Lead the team and undertake the day-to-day management, coordination and development of a large Operations Team to successfully execute customer contracts and meet agreed customer schedules, specifications and cost targets.
• Lead, motivate, and appropriately challenge your team to drive continuous performance improvement against the company’s KPIs.
• Provide clear direction and ongoing support to team members, ensuring production targets for your area are delivered within agreed timescales.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining required quality standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements.
• Prioritise and allocate both direct and indirect resources effectively to meet business and operational needs.
• Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities, focusing on cost and time reduction, waste elimination through lean practices, and maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping.

• HND/HNC in business studies or equivalent operational experience within a manufacturing environment
• Effective planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong technical and lean practitioner skills to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction

• 37-hour week (half-day Friday)
