PositionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse based at Biggart Hospital. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours22 hours per week. A flexible approach to shift patterns, including night duty, is required.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
What You Will DoYou will work within a 20 bedded rehabilitation ward within Urquhart Ward. With minimal supervision and in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team, you will be accountable for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for a defined caseload of patients working within the professional standards held in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
Knowledge, Training and/or Experience Required for this Post- Minimum of 6 months post‑registration experience or, if new registrants, must be put forward for NMC registration but was unsuccessful in the block NHS Ayrshire and Arran interview process.
- Motivated and self‑driven with a commitment to developing and delivering a high standard of individualised care to patients within a rehabilitation setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.
- Opportunity to enhance and further develop clinical skills, and to provide an excellent grounding for all registrants.
