Weekend Community Meals Driver – ICare GB Ltd
Location: Prestwick, South Ayrshire, United Kingdom
Employment Type: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £13.45 per Hour
We are looking for a reliable and caring Weekend Community Meals Driver to join our team in Prestwick. This role is pivotal in ensuring that nutritious meals reach vulnerable and elderly members of our community promptly and safely during weekends. Your contribution will directly support the wellbeing and independence of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and deliver prepared community meals to designated addresses across Prestwick and surrounding areas during weekends.
- Ensure all meals are transported safely and hygienically, maintaining food quality and temperature standards.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled times and customer expectations.
- Interact courteously and respectfully with service users, acting as a friendly and reassuring presence.
- Report any delivery issues, vehicle concerns, or client feedback promptly to the supervisor.
- Assist with loading and unloading meals and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and tidy.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety, food hygiene, and road safety regulations.
- Valid full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a driving or delivery role, preferably within Health, Social Care, or Catering sectors.
- Good knowledge of Prestwick and surrounding areas or the ability to navigate using GPS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and compassionate attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Physically capable of handling meal containers and assisting with loading/unloading.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.45.
