About the Company A well-established accounting firm based in Pretoria is seeking a qualified and registered Financial Consultant to join their dynamic team. The firm provides comprehensive accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities Tax & SARS Compliance
- Prepare and submit individual and corporate income tax returns
- Manage provisional tax submissions
- Handle SARS registrations, amendments, and correspondence
- Attend to SARS queries, audits, and verifications
- Ensure full tax compliance for clients
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Reconcile VAT accounts
- Manage VAT registrations and deregistrations
- Address VAT-related SARS queries
- Prepare Annual Financial Statements in accordance with relevant standards
- Compile management accounts
- Review trial balances and general ledger reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable financial reporting frameworks
- Registered with SAIPA or AGA (SA)
- Completed relevant BCom Accounting degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience within an accounting firm environment
- Strong knowledge of SARS processes and tax legislation
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Pastel, Case Ware)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
