Bookkeeper

• Processing of day to day transactions, bank entries, suppliers invoices and customer invoices as well as journal entries
• Preparing the monthly / bi-monthly VAT returns and the submission thereof
• Knowledge of Pastel Partner, Xero and Sage, Quick Books
• Good working knowledge of Company Act and Income Tax Act
• Knowledge of VAT and Employees tax and related items (COIDA/ UIF)
• Knowledge of Easy File and SARS E-Filing
• Candidate must come from an accounting practise background - Very Important
• Candidate must be able to perform under pressure with the understanding of several deadlines
• Knowledge Tax will be a definite advantage;
• a. Completing and submitting of annual tax returns;
• b. Knowledge of E-Filing very important;
• c. Ensure compliance of clients with SARS legislation;
• d. Corresponding with SARS regarding tax matter.
• 14. Good people and communication skills important

Qualifications – Degree or diploma not a requirement but the level of experience will be the determining factor, at least three years in an accounting practise / firm.
