Junior Accountant East

A well-established Accounting firm in Pretoria East is seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Junior Accountant to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth, providing vital support to senior accounting staff while managing day-to-day bookkeeping and tax administration.

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
• Relevant studies in Accounting / Bookkeeping or equivalent will be an added advantage
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• At least 1 - 3 years' previous experience working within an accounting practice
• Computer literate
• Pastel and Sage One accounting packages experience
• Practical knowledge of SARS eFiling and general SARS procedures

• Manage monthly bookkeeping and processing using Pastel and Sage One
• Handle general SARS queries and utilize SARS eFiling
• Assist senior accounting personnel with various financial and administrative tasks as needed
• Prepare and submit VAT calculations and VAT
  201 returns (highly advantageous)
• File income Tax returns via eFiling (highly advantageous)

• High level of accuracy in data capturing and strong attention to detail
• Honest, highly disciplined, well-organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a cooperative team player
