Mid to Senior-Level Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Mid to Senior-Level Accountant to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform bank, creditor, debtor and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns.
• Assist with annual financial statements and audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Provide financial insights and support management with accounting-related queries.

• Relevant BCom Accounting / BCompt / Accounting qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with VAT, PAYE and SARS eFiling.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Pastel or similar.
• Strong Excel skills will be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
