Junior Accountant | East

Were looking for a Junior Accountant to join a small, hands-on accounting firm in Pretoria East, working closely with the owner.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 1 to 2+ years of accounting experience who understands the basics of end-to-end accounting and is ready to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

• Diploma / undergraduate qualification in Accounting or related field
• 1 to 2+ years accounting experience
• Solid AP & AR experience
• Understanding of end-to-end accounting processes
• Experience with eFiling and CIPC
• Exposure to Quick Books, Pastel and/or Pastel Payroll
• Good understanding of where to start when working with an audit
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working closely with an owner and taking ownership of tasks
• Someone who can think, problem-solve and understand why they are doing something not just process transactions

• Permanent position
• January 2027 start
• 5 days in office
• 3-month probation period
• Direct mentorship and training from the owner
• Opportunity to build broader accounting experience across a small client base
• You dont need to know everything, training and mentorship will be provided.
• We are looking for someone who already has a good foundation and understands what is going on behind the numbers.

Candidates will complete a short accounting case study as part of the interview process.
