Purpose Of The Job:
Our Client is seeking a qualified and experienced High Voltage Electric Vehicle Technician to support their growing electric vehicle fleet and dealership operations. This is a critical technical role responsible for the diagnostics, servicing, repair, and maintenance of high-voltage electric vehicles within the rental and customer fleets. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining vehicle uptime, supporting dealership growth, and ensuring technical excellence across the business.
Responsibilities:
High Voltage & Technical Work
- Diagnostics, servicing, and repair of electric vehicles
- High-voltage system inspection, testing, and fault finding
- Electrical and electronic troubleshooting
- Battery, inverter, and drivetrain system diagnostics
- Software updates and system calibrations where required
- Service planning and workshop job scheduling
- Technical reporting and documentation
- Warranty claim processing with OEM
- Parts control, stock management, and ordering
- Supervision of workshop staff and technicians
- Technical mentorship and skills development
- Implementation of improved service processes and standards
- Support for new dealership and service network setup
- Qualified Automotive Technician
- High Voltage / EV certification
- Minimum 8 years workshop experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with vehicle diagnostic software and tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Growth opportunities within a developing multi-EV brand and dealership network
- Previous experience with electric vehicles
- Experience with fleet maintenance environments
- Workshop or team leadership experience
- Warranty and technical reporting experience
- Parts or inventory management exposure
- Strong technical problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Process-driven and organised
