Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

Location: Pretoria, South Africa

Salary: Depending on experience

Job Duties:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage and monitor contractors and their activities on site.
• Oversee daily toll plaza operations and site safety.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain health and safety records and reports.
• Conduct safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Identify hazards and assist with risk assessments.
• Must be able to travel a lot.

Requirements:

• SACPCMP registration is required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Health & Safety, contractor management, or a similar operational environment.
• Previous experience within toll plaza management, infrastructure, construction, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Ability to supervise, coordinate, and manage contractors effectively.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites if required.
