About the Role

Our client requires a proactive and knowledgeable Remote Construction Health & Safety Officer to bolster safety compliance across their diverse construction projects. Operating remotely, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs, ensuring that all sites adhere strictly to regulatory requirements and best practices. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional communication skills for remote collaboration, and the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits virtually.

You will be a key player in fostering a strong safety culture across the organization, contributing significantly to the well-being of our workforce regardless of their location.

• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures remotely.
• Conduct virtual risk assessments and identify potential hazards on construction sites.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies through remote reporting and data analysis.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver remote safety training sessions and toolbox talks to site personnel.
• Maintain accurate safety records and prepare regular compliance reports.

• Certified Safety Practitioner (CSP) or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience in construction health and safety management.
• Strong understanding of South African OHS Act and relevant regulations.
• Excellent reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, adapted for remote work.
