A service advisor acts as the main link between vehicle owners and the auto repair technicians. Manage customer service, explain technical issues in simple terms, and organize the workflow for the shop.

• Assisting workshop reception area by receiving customer’s vehicles in for servicing and repairs daily.
• Responsible for obtaining the correct information from the client regarding service or repair items.
• Obtain the correct contact information at time of receiving the vehicle.
• Responsible for obtaining/confirming payment method for the service or repairs.
• Obtaining authorization from cash customer on arrival where possible.
• Responsible for keeping in contact with the client whilst the vehicle is in the workshop, informing and obtaining authority from client for any additional work and/ or delays.
• Always update and maintain the BSI system.
• To promote the sale of workshop labour, parts, back end and accessories by educating customers and up selling.
• Correct hand over process used when handing vehicle over to the customer on collection.
• WIP and Cash outstanding followed up daily.
• Ensuring the profitability of workshop by following the correct processes regarding quotations.
• To receive customers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner always.
• To always introduce yourself to the customer and to stand up when a customer approaches your desk.
• To always call the customer by his/her name.
