Senior and FET Phase Afrikaans Educator

Role Description

ACUDEO College Thornview is seeking a qualified Senior and FET Phase Afrikaans Educator for a full-time, on-site role at our campus in Pretoria. The educator will be responsible for planning and delivering effective Afrikaans lessons, assessing and supporting learners, fostering a positive classroom environment, and engaging with parents and guardians where necessary. Additional responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, maintaining accurate records of student progress, and participating in school events and extra-curricular activities.

• Expertise in Lesson Planning and Education to design and implement effective Afrikaans lessons tailored to the Senior and FET Phase curriculums
• Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
• Proficiency in Teaching and Training with proven experience in facilitating learning processes and mentoring students
• Professional teaching qualification or equivalent recognized by relevant accreditation authorities
• Fluency in Afrikaans and a strong command of English
• Knowledge of the South African education curriculum and national standards
• Strong organizational skills and a passion for education
• Previous teaching experience in Senior and FET phase is highly desirabl
