We are seeking a passionate and experienced Curriculum Content Creator specialising in Foundation Phase education (Grades R–3) with strong expertise in Sesotho
. The successful candidate will design, develop, and review high-quality, CAPS-aligned learning materials that promote literacy, numeracy, and holistic development in early learners.
This role requires deep understanding of Foundation Phase pedagogy, Sesotho Home Language and instruction, and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate content/stories.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Develop CAPS-aligned curriculum content for Foundation Phase (Grades R–3) in Sesotho.
- Create lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, readers, and teacher guides.
- Design age-appropriate literacy activities (phonics, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, writing skills).
- Integrate numeracy concepts using Sesotho as the language of learning and teaching where required.
- Ensure content promotes inclusive education and accommodates diverse learning needs.
- Adapt materials for print and digital platforms.
- Conduct quality assurance and content reviews to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Collaborate with subject advisors, instructional designers, and illustrators.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent qualification.
- Specialization in Sesotho.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in Foundation Phase.
- Strong knowledge of CAPS curriculum requirements.
- Excellent written and spoken Sesotho proficiency.
- Strong English proficiency (for bilingual content development).
- Experience in curriculum development or educational publishing (advantageous).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Deep understanding of early literacy development.
- Creativity in developing engaging learning materials.
- Strong instructional design skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and contextual awareness.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Digital literacy (Google Workspace, MS Office; e-learning platforms advantageous).
- Experience in educational publishing.
- Knowledge of inclusive education strategies.
- Ability to develop multimedia learning resources.
- Experience as a Subject Advisor will be an advantage
Payment Schedule
Payment will be made monthly upon receipt and verification of the Consultant’s approved timesheet and invoice.

Survivors referred to available professional assistance ( mental health counselling), upon consent.
