The Competition Commission is offering a 24-month Cadet Training Programme in Economics for high-achieving graduates with no prior work experience. Cadets will gain hands-on experience in competition law and economics, develop professional skills, and contribute to the Commission’s Vision 2030 of a competitive, dynamic, deconcentrated, and inclusive economy. Successful candidates may apply for growth opportunities within the Commission.
Responsibilities- Gain hands-on experience in economic research and competition analysis
- Contribute to research, analysis, and projects aligned with Vision 2030
- Participate in training and development programmes to build professional skills
- Support initiatives promoting diversity, inclusion, and public interest
- South African Citizen with no prior work experience in the field
- Completed Honours Degree in Economics
- Strong academic record (70%+ average advantageous) with notable achievements
- Evidence of proactive engagement beyond academics; computer literate, team player, strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills
