2026 SABS Youth Development Programme: ICT & Knowledge Management (12-Months FTC) About Description

The South African Bureau of Standards invites unemployed graduates to apply for participation in a one-year Internship Programme commencing in April 2026. These programmes are designed to provide graduates with practical work exposure, mentoring and learning opportunities aligned to organisational and national skills priorities.

• The successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R8,000.00 for the duration of the Programme.

• Participate in structured training and development initiatives as part of the Youth Development Programme
• Gain practical workplace experience through rotational assignments and hands-on learning
• Assist with departmental projects, research, and administrative tasks as required
• Apply academic knowledge in a practical work environment
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to team objectives
• Comply with organisational policies, procedures, and professional standards
• Submit progress reports and complete assessments as required during the programme
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors

• Completed a relevant qualification
• Minimum 80% academic average for the completed qualification
• No formal work experience related to the field of study
• Must be currently unemployed
