Senior Early Years Educator

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Early Years Educator to join their esteemed educational institution in Pretoria, Gauteng . This crucial role involves leading a classroom of young learners, developing and implementing engaging educational programs, and mentoring junior educators. You will be responsible for fostering a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of early childhood development, creative teaching methodologies, and a passion for inspiring young minds. This is an on-site position within our Pretoria campus, demanding a full commitment to classroom activities and student development.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities that stimulate children's learning and development.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
• Assess children's progress and development, providing regular feedback to parents and the management team.
• Develop and maintain effective communication channels with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
• Mentor and support junior educators, providing guidance on curriculum delivery and classroom management.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and review curriculum and educational strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
• Contribute to the overall positive culture and ethos of the educational institution.

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Early Years Educator, with demonstrable experience in a leadership or senior role.
• In-depth knowledge of early childhood development principles and pedagogical approaches.
• Proven ability to design and implement creative and engaging learning experiences.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in assessment techniques for early years.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
