Electrical & Instrumentation; E&I Draughtsperson

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Draughts person to join their engineering team. This role is suited to a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in producing accurate and compliant E&I drawings and documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and project teams to support the design and execution of complex projects.

• Prepare, update, and maintain E&I drawings, layouts, and schematics to project specifications.
• Draft and modify diagrams including single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, cable routing, and termination drawings.
• Ensure all draughting work complies with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Support engineers with the development of technical documentation and project deliverables.
• Assist with the preparation of bills of materials, equipment lists, and design data.
• Liaise with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate and integrated across disciplines.
• Maintain drawing records, revision histories, and project databases.
• Provide draughting support during installation, construction, and commissioning phases.

• Relevant diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Draughting, or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Draughts person in an industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in draughting / design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools.
• Sound knowledge of E&I systems, schematics, and applicable industry standards.
• Experience preparing and managing project documentation and technical drawings.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
