Civil Engineer Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• General project administration and coordination
• Assisting with proposal preparation and tender submissions
• Ensuring client objectives are clearly agreed upon and met or exceeded
• Participating in feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed design, and project implementation
• Managing and controlling health, safety, and environmental risks throughout project stages
• Supporting and adhering to HSE requirements during design phases
• Developing and implementing initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and project efficiency
• Managing and mitigating engineering risks through sound design practices

• BEng in Civil Engineering
• Professional registration with ECSA (or in the process of registering within one year of appointment) is advantageous

• Minimum 3 years post-degree experience in the civil engineering water environment
• Experience working on multi-disciplinary water projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong technical engineering background
• Proven track record in the design of civil engineering water-related projects

• Strong safety awareness and responsibility
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and processes
• Demonstrated commitment to HSE management in a project environment
• Sound understanding of applicable engineering standards and codes of practice

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities
• Effective risk identification and problem-solving skills
