Senior Digital Delivery Technician; Modeller

Reporting

Reports to Section Manager or other professional consultant or any other person appointed to supervise him/her from time to time.

Provide and undertake complex design modelling tasks, prepare tender/construction documents, provide technical support services in meeting the requirements of the functional group and its clients.

• Modelling and detailing in Revit, Civil 3D/AutoCAD
• Develop Autodesk templates/libraries and tools to maintain standards
• Programming within Autodesk (Visual Coding/Automation)
• Quality audit on outgoing drawings
• Standardisation of all drawings on project
• Visualization of 3D models of projects for presentations
• BIM implementation
• Handling all Autodesk troubleshooting and setting up of interfaces in respective department
• Participating in office technical discussions and project delivery meetings
• Mentor, train and provide technical support to junior staff
• Conducting conceptual and detailed design and modelling in order to prepare technical drawings and documentation
• Provide practical and economical solutions to project deliverables
• Applying a deeper understanding of modelling principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems
• Maintain a high level of modelling expertise and engineering knowledge
• Undertake supervisor role and lead on projects
• Contribute to the overall management and profitability of the functional group
• Ensure drawings and documentation are to the highest quality
• Maintain client satisfaction
• Strictly adhere to SMEC’s Management System (MS), quality standards and OHS procedures
• Introduce Graduate Engineers to in-house standards and the practical application of tasks and construction techniques
• Assist Project Managers with site queries and reporting solutions
• To work independently and self-motivated to produce accurate models/drawings to a high standard within set deadlines

• Professional registration in drawing/modeling (Autodesk certification preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years in similar position
• Some key experience in relevant projects
• Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk, Relux/Dialux or discipline specific software essential
