Overview

UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. This function resides in the Special Vehicle Development (SVD) division in UD Trucks Southern Africa. SVD is a technology function responsible for:

Civil Engineering, Work & Labor Issues, Jobs

Responsibilities

Create 3D CAD models / 2D drawings of concept components
Provide technical and/or hands-on assistance as required for SVD day-to-day activities
Coordinate with external test laboratories/test houses
Influence to use correct test methods, tools
Collaborate with PQE / UDTO / BB / UDTT / IPS / External test Labs / Dealers
Assist with qualification of superstructures by external MIBs
Assist with vehicle / component testing as required

Qualifications

National Diploma/ Higher Diploma in Mechanical/ Automotive engineering or
BSc Mechanical/Automotive engineering / Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics engineering
Driving license B/EB
