A leading engineering business is looking for an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman to join its engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, CAD models and manufacturing documentation, working closely with engineers from concept through to fabrication and installation.

• Produce detailed mechanical, fabrication, assembly and manufacturing drawings.
• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models.
• Create General Arrangement drawings, installation drawings and BOMs.
• Revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with Mechanical Engineers to develop practical, cost-effective designs.
• Provide technical drawing packages to project teams within deadlines.
• Liaise with production, procurement and site teams on drawing-related queries.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant engineering standards and client requirements.

• National Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Draughting or a related field.
• 3-5 years' experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman in engineering, manufacturing, mining, industrial or construction environments.
• Strong experience producing fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
• Proficiency in Solid Works or similar CAD software.
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering calculations and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of GD&T and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with welding, machining, fabrication and assembly processes.
