Structural Revit Draughtsperson

• Job purpose: BVi Consulting Engineers Gauteng (Pty) Ltd has a vacancy for a Structural Revit Draughtsperson in their Pretoria office. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Revit Draughtsperson to join our Structural Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate structural drawings and Building Information Models (BIM) for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects using Autodesk Revit. Working closely with structural engineers and project teams, the draughtsperson will assist in delivering high-quality documentation from concept through to construction.

• Produce structural drawings and models using Autodesk Revit.
• Develop detailed reinforcement, concrete and structural steel drawings.
• Prepare general arrangement, detailing, sections and construction drawings.
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D structural models in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
• Revise drawings in accordance with engineer comments and project changes.
• Maintain drawing registers and revision histories.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant South African standards, company standards and client requirements.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and schedules where required.
• Attend project coordination meetings when necessary.
• Ensure all documentation is completed within project deadlines.
• Maintain project documentation in accordance with company quality management procedures.
• ND in Civil Engineering or related Draughting qualification
• Proven track record in structural drafting.
• Revit and AutoCAD proficiency is essential.
• 3 + years Revit working experience in multidisciplinary design consultancy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
• The ability to think outside the box.
• Strong time management skills as you will be working on multiple projects.
• Be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to travel to project sites when necessary
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
