About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and execute complex mechanical projects in the Pretoria region. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong project management capabilities, and excellent leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee all phases of project execution, from initial planning and design through to procurement, installation, and commissioning.

- Lead the planning, execution, and finalization of mechanical engineering projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and external contractors, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee procurement, installation, and testing of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in mechanical project engineering or management.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Agile).
- Experience with contract negotiation, vendor management, and budget control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both remote and on-site project environments.
