Civil Engineering Technologist - Roads and Pavements

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist with expertise in roads and pavements to join their established team in Pretoria. In this office-based role, you will be integral to the design, supervision, and quality control of road construction and rehabilitation projects. This position is suited for a detail-oriented technologist eager to apply their practical knowledge and contribute to the development of key transportation infrastructure within a professional and experienced engineering firm.

• Prepare design drawings, specifications, and schedules for road and pavement projects.
• Conduct material testing and quality control on construction sites.
• Assist in the planning and supervision of road construction activities.
• Perform site investigations and surveys for new road developments and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with relevant transportation engineering standards and specifications.
• Prepare technical reports on project progress and findings.

• National Diploma or B-Tech in Civil Engineering Technology.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in road and pavement design and construction .
• Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA as a Technologist.
• Proficiency in CAD software and basic understanding of pavement design software.
• Knowledge of materials science and construction methods for roads.
• Strong organizational and site supervision skills.
