About the Role

Our client seeks a specialized Water Resources Engineer to contribute to their key projects focused on water management and infrastructure in Pretoria . This role is crucial for addressing the region's water challenges, involving the design and analysis of water supply systems, flood control measures, and sustainable water management strategies. • Conduct hydrological studies and hydraulic modeling for river systems, urban drainage, and water supply networks.
• Design water infrastructure such as dams, pipelines, treatment plants, and flood protection structures.
• Develop and implement water resource management plans, considering environmental impact and sustainability.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and design documentation.
• Analyze water quality data and recommend treatment strategies.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists, urban planners, and regulatory agencies.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources.
• Significant experience in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, EPANET).
• Knowledge of South African water legislation and environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to manage water-related projects from conception to completion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
