Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in Automotive Components to join their innovative team in Pretoria . This role is crucial for the design, development, and validation of next-generation automotive parts and systems. • Design and develop automotive mechanical components using advanced CAD software , ensuring adherence to industry standards and performance targets.
• Conduct stress analysis , vibration analysis, and durability testing to validate component designs under various operating conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product integration and production readiness.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for prototype and mass production.
• Support the troubleshooting of design-related issues and implement effective solutions to enhance product performance and reliability.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in automotive engineering and mechanical design .

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on automotive components.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Solid Works) and CAE tools for simulation and analysis.
• Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
• Experience with product development cycles in the automotive industry.
