About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead their electrical engineering department in Pretoria. This leadership role is responsible for guiding a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems across various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen combined with exceptional leadership and project management skills, driving innovation and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

- Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, assigning tasks and overseeing project progress.
- Develop and implement departmental goals, strategies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Review and approve electrical designs, specifications, and technical documentation generated by the team.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines for all electrical engineering initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and safety within the engineering department.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or team lead role.
- Expertise in power systems, control systems, and electrical infrastructure design.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and financial oversight.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
