Senior Civil Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their established team based in Pretoria . This critical role involves taking the lead on the design phase of significant infrastructure and development projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with all regulatory standards. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and detailing a variety of civil engineering works, including earthworks, stormwater management, and road infrastructure.

Working within a collaborative office environment, you will guide project teams, liaise with clients, and contribute significantly to the company's reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions in the Gauteng region.

• Lead the detailed design of civil infrastructure components such as roads, earthworks, and stormwater systems.
• Prepare comprehensive design drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to inform design development.
• Ensure designs comply with national standards, municipal bylaws, and environmental regulations.
• Review and approve design submissions from consultants and contractors.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in Pretoria .

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in civil design.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Advanced proficiency in civil design software, including Civil 3D and drainage analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and contract documentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
