Our client is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to enhance their production capabilities in Pretoria . This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that drive efficiency, precision, and safety in their industrial operations. You will be at the forefront of technological advancements, ensuring our client remains competitive through optimized automation strategies. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of control systems, robotics, and manufacturing processes to contribute significantly to operational excellence within Gauteng .
Key Responsibilities- Design, program, and implement programmable logic controllers (PLCs) , human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and SCADA systems.
- Develop and integrate robotic systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless operation and efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis for automation system failures and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot complex automation challenges and optimize system performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards for automated systems.
- Stay abreast of new automation technologies and recommend upgrades or modifications to existing systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
- Proficiency in programming various PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
- Experience with robotics programming and integration (e.g., KUKA, FANUC, ABB).
- Strong understanding of industrial networks, safety circuits, and mechatronic principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
