Water Resources Engineer - Supply and Sanitation

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join their dedicated team focused on water supply and sanitation infrastructure in Pretoria . This role is critical for developing sustainable solutions to water management challenges, ensuring reliable access to clean water and effective wastewater treatment for communities. You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and operational support.

• Design and plan water supply systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, and storage reservoirs.
• Develop wastewater collection and treatment systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution networks and sewer systems.
• Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and environmental impact assessments for water infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies and community representatives, to ensure project success.
• Oversee the implementation and construction phases of water and sanitation projects, providing technical guidance.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on Water Resources.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in water and wastewater engineering design.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is preferred.
• Proficiency in water resource modeling software (e.g., EPANET, Info Works ICM).
• Strong understanding of South African water quality standards and environmental legislation.
