Senior Chemical Engineer - Projects

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Chemical Engineer specializing in project execution to join their team in Pretoria . This role is crucial for managing and delivering capital projects within the chemical manufacturing sector, from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

• Manage all phases of capital projects, including conceptualization, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, scopes of work, and execution strategies.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control project costs effectively.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external vendors to ensure project success.

• B.Eng. or
  
  B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering .
• 8+ years of experience in project engineering and management within the chemical or related process industries.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience with P&IDs, equipment specification, and plant design principles.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
