RoHS & REACH Engineer; Systems Engineering

Location: Pretoria, on site
Contract: 3 months, with a possible extension
Rate: R700 an hour
Hours: Full time, 40 to 45 hours a week

Help us ensure our complex electronic systems meet stringent EU environmental compliance (RoHS & REACH). You'll own the end-to-end compliance process, acting as a key systems engineer for this critical three-month project.

• 2+ years hands-on RoHS/REACH compliance for electronics
• Experience with systems engineering (requirements, traceability, config management)
• Proven ability to chase suppliers for declarations and resolve non-compliance
• Comfortable analyzing large BOMs in Excel and PLM/ERP systems
• Strong communication skills to challenge suppliers and designers
• Must be a South African citizen or eligible to work locally

• Drive product compliance checks against RoHS and REACH regulations
• Collect, review, and chase supplier declarations for all BOM components
• Integrate compliance requirements into system design and verification
• Build and maintain the compliance file, ensuring audit readiness
• Establish a repeatable process for ongoing compliance

• Direct impact on critical product compliance for EU markets
• Solve challenging, end-to-end engineering problems
• Work with a dedicated team on a focused, three-month project
