Electrical Revit Draughtsperson​/Bim Modeler; Building Services

Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to focus on building services in their Centurion office. This role is essential for designing and overseeing the electrical systems within commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. You will work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and construction teams to ensure integrated and efficient building designs. This is an on‑site position that requires a strong understanding of electrical installations, power distribution, lighting, and safety regulations within the construction industry.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high‑quality electrical solutions for a variety of construction projects.

• Develop electrical design drawings, schematics, and specifications for power, lighting, and low‑voltage systems.
• Conduct load analysis and ensure compliance with building codes and relevant standards.
• Specify electrical equipment and materials, preparing bills of quantities.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to coordinate electrical design requirements.
• Perform site inspections during construction to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical design for building services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software (e.g., Revit MEP).
• Solid knowledge of lighting design, power distribution, earthing systems, and standby power.
• Understanding of South African National Standards (SANS) and building regulations.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
