Senior Reservoir Engineer - Oil & Gas Exploration

Our client, a forward-thinking exploration and production company, is seeking a highly analytical Senior Reservoir Engineer to contribute to their upstream operations, based in Pretoria . This role is crucial for evaluating hydrocarbon potential, optimizing field development strategies, and maximizing recovery from reservoirs. • Analyze reservoir performance, conduct decline curve analysis, and forecast future production rates.
• Develop and implement reservoir simulation models to assess recovery strategies and optimize field development plans.
• Perform volumetric calculations and resource assessments for exploration and appraisal opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to integrate subsurface data.
• Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for improved reservoir characterization and enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
• Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management and project teams.

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering , with a focus on exploration and development.
• Expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel RE).
• Strong understanding of geology , petrophysics, and production engineering principles.
• Proven ability to perform complex economic evaluations and risk assessments.
• Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and communication skills.
