Our client, a prominent organizer of major sporting events , is seeking a skilled and dedicated Venue Manager to join their dynamic team in Pretoria . This role is crucial for the successful planning, execution, and post-event management of various sporting venues. You will be responsible for ensuring that all venue operations meet the highest standards of safety, security, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency, contributing to the overall success of prestigious events.

- Oversee all aspects of venue operations for assigned sporting events, from setup to breakdown.
- Manage venue staff, including security, hospitality, and technical support teams, ensuring effective coordination and performance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive venue operational plans, including logistics, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Liaise with event organizers, sponsors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Manage venue budgets, control costs, and ensure all financial transactions are accurate and timely.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned for future events.
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in venue management, event operations, or a similar role within the sports or entertainment industry.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale events and complex operational logistics.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and security regulations for public venues.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules, reflecting the Pretoria event landscape.
