Key Account Manager (Commercial Asset Finance) | Pretoria East

Job Purpose The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key broker partners and an existing portfolio of commercial clients within the asset-based finance space.
This role focuses on maintaining strong broker relationships, identifying growth opportunities within broker-introduced portfolios, structuring suitable financing solutions, and ensuring seamless deal execution in collaboration with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and existing commercial clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for brokers and key accounts, understanding their funding requirements and business objectives.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify opportunities for additional funding or service enhancements.
  • Structure and negotiate financing solutions aligned with both broker requirements and company risk parameters.
  • Collaborate closely with credit, risk, and operations teams to ensure efficient deal structuring and execution.
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve product offerings and client solutions.
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities within existing broker portfolios.
  • Proactively onboard new, high-quality brokers to expand market reach.
  • Grow revenue streams from both broker-introduced and direct client business.
Financial & Risk Assessment
  • Analyse client financials, asset portfolios, and creditworthiness to recommend appropriate funding structures.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs to mitigate risk exposure.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal credit policies.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in key account management, relationship management, or sales within commercial lending or asset-based finance.
  • Strong understanding of asset finance products, including finance leases, operating leases, invoice discounting, and floor plan facilities.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and deal-structuring ability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within commercial finance.
Remuneration Market-related package aligned to experience, skills, and qualifications.
