Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Treasury Analyst to join their finance department in Pretoria. This role is crucial for managing the company’s liquidity, cash flow, and financial risk exposures. You will be responsible for daily cash management activities, developing cash flow forecasts, and supporting the execution of treasury strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial markets and instruments relevant to the banking and finance industry, contributing to the overall financial stability and operational efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily cash operations, including monitoring cash balances, processing payments, and executing wire transfers.
Develop accurate short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to optimize liquidity management.
Analyze banking relationships and fee structures, recommending cost-saving opportunities.
Support the execution of investment strategies for surplus cash and debt management activities.
Monitor market developments and assess their impact on the company’s treasury operations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to treasury activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or cash management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for financial analysis and modeling.
Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and foreign exchange management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
