Specialist:
Business Analyst - Insurance Sector (Long-term)
Location:
Pretoria
Salary: R55 000-00 CTC p.m. (negotiable)
OverviewOur client is looking for a Specialist:
Business Analyst. Candidate must understand the needs of multiple stakeholders and help envision the future and how their work will need to change to support the future.
- Perform Collection Runs/Feedback/Reconciliations
- Perform Collection Stats
- Define and document customer business functions and processes
- Liaise with business to understand requirements for any new systems or updates to existing systems
- Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organization as a whole
- Identify current- and future-state business processes
- Facilitate the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders
- Create, analyse and validate business requirements and high level functional specifications
- Deliver elements of system design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes or other detailed deliverables
- Analyse the feasibility of and develop requirements for new system and enhance existing systems, ensure the system design fits the need of the user
- Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality
- Read and interpret case management systems and functional technical literature and translate in terms understandable to the end user
- Conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents core to business rules, functions and requirements
- Use data modelling practices to analyse findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes;
- Consider the opportunities and potential risks attached to the suggestions made;
- Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce recommendations
- Gain agreement, usually from senior management, of the best method of introducing recommendations to the business
- Communicate the benefits of recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern;
- Produce written documentation to support work, report on findings and present to stakeholders when necessary;
- Support staff and teams in making recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues;
- Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
- IT related degree/diploma
- Microsoft Certification - advantage
- 5 years' experience in Business Analysis
- 2 years' experience in IT Development
- 2 years' experience in Project management
- Microsoft Framework (SQL, .Net, C#, WCF, WPF, ASP.net; MVC, OOP, K2, SharePoint, Kanban, Scrum)
