Job Description About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Expert SAP Functional Consultant to join our IT team, focusing on SAP Payroll & Benefits. This includes payroll accounting, compensation and benefits management, and company pension schemes. The successful candidate will ensure accurate payroll results in compliance with statutory, collective, and company agreements, while providing expert-level functional support and guidance to business teams across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational support for SAP payroll runs in multiple countries.
- Maintain and configure payroll schemas, rules, and business requirements.
- Conduct functional and system integration testing.
- Manage and resolve incident and service request tickets related to SAP HCM Payroll, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Collaborate closely with IT providers, internal stakeholders, and business teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
- Take full end-to-end responsibility for functions and products, from requirement gathering to implementation and issue resolution.
- Manage software lifecycle, including continuous integration and deployment of SAP applications.
- Apply test-driven development and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) in day-to-day work.
- Lead and enable internal and external teams to carry out implementation tasks.
- Execute development activities and independently program IT solutions as required.
- Expert-level knowledge of SAP Payroll operations and configuration (Schemas/Rules, wage types, customizing).
- Strong experience with SAP HCM modules (PA/OM/PT).
- In-depth understanding of payroll processes and best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- SAP technical experience (forms, printing solutions, RFCs, etc.).
- Proficiency with ticketing systems (e.g., Service Now, Jira).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Experience in multinational environments.
- Exposure to company pension administration.
- Knowledge of US-specific payroll requirements is a bonus.
- SAP HCM certification.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in SAP HCM Payroll operations, support, or development.
