CSIR/ MICT SETA:
Internship (One-Year Contract) Description

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is a leading scientific and technology research organisation that researches, develops, localises and diffuses technologies to accelerate socio-economic prosperity in South Africa. The organisation’s work contributes to industrial development and supports a capable state.

• The programme allows interns to apply their academic knowledge in a real work environment under the mentorship of experienced professionals.
• Software Support & Development:
  Assisting in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of software applications or internal systems.
• Infrastructure Maintenance:
  Providing support for ICT infrastructure, including network monitoring, server maintenance, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
• Data Management:
  Assisting with database administration, data capturing, and ensuring data integrity.

• The CSIR, in partnership with MICT SETA, is offering internship opportunities to graduates seeking practical work experience to enhance their skills and employability.
• These opportunities are available in the following science, engineering, and technology (SET) fields:
• Informatics
• Software Engineering
• Business Information Systems
• A South African citizen
• Must have completed a qualification (National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent as a minimum requirement) in any of the above fields.
